Sodium bentonite is a natural sealant and is used for sealing stock and recreational ponds, dairy and sewage lagoons, and city landfills. It is also effective as a hole plug as well as for controlling dust on highways. Sodium bentonite is one of the “most effective low cost methods” of treating porous soils. It is so effective, that the Federal Government and most states require a liner of sodium bentonite or material comparable, to be used to seal toxic waste lagoons and abandoned water and oil wells. It is environmentally safe, because it contains no chemicals, no additives, nothing toxic. 50 lb. bag.
Grainland Select® 44% protein soybean meal. Dehulled soybean meal and ground soybean hulls. Soybean meal is used in food and animal feeds, principally as a protein supplement, but also as a source of metabolizable energy. For poultry, swine, beef & dairy cattle and sheep.
Golden German Millet is commonly used a drought tolerant cattle feed planted into wheat stubble. Golden German Millet is also used for food plots, dove fields, erosion control and exotic bird feed.
As a prebiotic, Tasco® is the preferred choice in premium commercial feed formulations. Derived exclusively from Ascophyllum nodosum marine plants, Tasco® supports immune function and helps production animals cope with various environmental stresses such as transport and heat while maintaining feed intake. Tasco® is a premium, natural ingredient that contributes to animal health and wellness at all life stages.
Field peas are used in spring plantings as a source of organic matter and nitrogen, which improve overall soil health. Peas are a modest nitrogen-fixer on vegetable ground, but are the only choice in spring. In late summer, peas can be interseeded with oats to provide ground cover over the winter.
Phosphorus, which is found with calcium in the bones and teeth of animals, has a role in every phase of animal growth and production. It has many biological functions and is a key component in energy metabolism. It’s required for cells to divide, a heart to beat, and for milk, meat and wool to be produced. Phosphorus plays a role in acid-base buffering in blood and other bodily fluids, along with being a component of tissue cell walls. With adequate dietary levels of phosphorus, livestock and poultry will grow faster, produce more and be healthier.
Dehydrated alfalfa is a meal product resulting from the rapid drying of alfalfa by artificial means. Alfalfa meal is processed into pellets for use in chicken rations, cattle feed, hog rations, sheep feed, turkey mash, and other formula feeds. Use for animal feed. The result is the contribution premium alfalfa products offer in developing the nutritional value, consistency and aroma of your finished feed. Contains 17% alfalfa meal. Crude protein minimum (17%), crude fat minimum (1.5%), crude fiber maximum (30%).
Diamond V Original products represent “the one-and-only original” in the field of fermentation products for animal nutrition and health. All products in the Original Line are manufactured using the same Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentation technology platform with the same high standards of quality. Original products differ only in their concentration and listed source of materials (OMRI-Listed® and non-GMO).
In the United States, sorghum is used primarily as a feed grain for livestock and for wild bird feed blends. Feed value of grain sorghum is similar to corn. The grain has more protein and fat than corn, but is lower in vitamin A. When compared with corn on a per pound basis, grain sorghum feeding value ranges from 90% to nearly equal to corn. The grain is highly palatable to livestock, and intake seldom limits livestock productivity.
Flax has high levels of antioxidants, omega-3 and vitamin E which boost animal health, enhance breeding performance and are good for the immune system. Flax has a higher protein and energy level than corn.
Steam rolled barley can be used in cattle, goat, and sheep rations to increase the grain level in a final ration. Barley is quickly becoming a major feed ingredient in the fast-growing organic dairy industry. Mix with other feedstuffs so a balanced ration can be fed.
Linseed is favoured in rations for ruminants, horses, and sometimes, for sow diets, but is rarely used for poultry because of its poor amino acid profile, its high fibre, and its laxative nature. Poultry, beef, pork, milk and eggs can be modified by the dietary lipid profile fed to the animal, allowing the producer to produce high quality food products with added omega-3 fatty acids for the discerning consumer. Since flax is grown in fields with higher levels of selenium, linseed meal contains a higher selenium content than other feeds.
Magnesium oxide is a source of magnesium (54 percent by weight) and functions as an alkalinizer. It can increase uptake of milk fat precursors by the mammary gland. Solubility and particle size can affect rumen action. Magnesium has always been essential in animal diets for normal appetite, growth and reproduction. Since forages and grains are often deficient in Magnesium, a supplemental source with high biological availability is important to assure top animal performance.
Whey is a highly nutritious by product of the cheese industry which can be utilized well when fed to animals in a variety of forms such as liquid whey, condensed whey, dried whey, or as dried whey products. Ruminants can consume up to 30% of their dry-matter intake as liquid whey without impaired performance while swine may experience diarrhea when more than 20% of their dry matter is liquid whey. Small amounts of dried whey or partially delactosed whey in non-ruminant & swine rations often increase weight gains, feed efficiency, protein digestibility, and fat digestibility, as well as mineral absorption and retention.
Peanuts are the best single source of protein and fat for your birds and a great addition to the choices you offer in your yard. Peanuts are a high-energy food, and a wide variety of birds really enjoy them. Birds such as woodpeckers, titmice, nuthatches, chickadees, jays and more will frequent peanut feeders. Fish meal provides the highest quality amino acid profile of any single protein source. Each of provides a minimum 60% crude protein and 90% digestibility. Studies have shown improved feed conversion, reproductive performance, immune function, and overall growth. Fish Meal provides an excellent boost of protein and Omega-3’s for molting birds and in eggs or if you would like to boost the protein level of feed for any animal.
Soybeans are naturally rich in high energy oils, naturally well balanced with body-building protein, and naturally high in essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Soybeans are an important source of protein in many animal feeds. Roasting soybeans before feeding them to your stock kills mold and other contaminants and makes the beans easier to digest.
Cottonseed hulls are low in protein and energy but high in effective fiber (43 percent). They may be used as the only source of roughage but are more commonly used in combination with limited amounts of silage and/or hay. Cottonseed hulls are very palatable and cows receiving such rations consume about 15 to 25 percent more dry matter than cows receiving silage-based rations.

Beet pulp is made from the fibrous material left over after the sugar is extracted from the sugar beet. It's formed from dried sugar beet pulp with a small amount of molasses added during the drying process. It is an excellent source of digestible fiber, with relatively low crude protein content. Beet pulp is an excellent ingredient for complete horse feeds, where no hay or a limited amount of hay or pasture is fed.
